| As part of the policy to promote patent licensing businesses, the National Center for Industrial Property Information and Training (INPIT), has held the International Patent Licensing Seminar annually to increase awareness of intellectual property and patent licensing among the general public, and to assist the development and growth of an intellectual property transaction environment.
The International Patent Licensing Seminar 2010 will be the eleventh event to be held. The main theme for this year's seminar is "For evolutionary Pro-innovation 'IP strategies for green technology'" Two Plenary Speeches will be given. The first is entitled,"Accelerating Innovation through Industry-University Collaborations" by the President of the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM), and the second is entitled, "Open Innovation: The Past as Prologue" by the President of the Licensing Executives Society International (LESI).
In addition, at the Opening Forum entitled, "Green Technology and Intellectual Property Strategy" we will invite international experts working in the technology transfer business and specialists from Japan who are at the forefront of this business. These invitees will provide lectures and participate in panel discussions and other programs.
